is a small charity based in Epsom, Surrey aiming to promote a better understanding of mental health and support the wellbeing of everyone in the community. The main activities are The Drop-In and Epsom Mental Health Week. They also run occasional workshops, courses, conferences and seminars.

Samaritans offer 24 hour support. You donít have to be suicidal, you can phone any time about anything you like.

Mind
is the mental health charity that makes sure nobody has to face a mental health problem alone.

Time to Change is led by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, England's biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination.

If you feel that counselling isnít for you, there are other ways you might be able to deal with your concerns:

  • This link from Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust includes a number of excellent self-help leaflets dealing with a range of difficulties including alcohol dependence, depression, stress and many others.
  • NHS Choices offers a range of self-help strategies including audio guides and computerised CBT courses.
